President's editorial June 2024
A great summer! This is what I wish to all of you, dear Alumni, who are reading our new Alumzine edition today. Some reading to “carry around” with you on your various electronic media.
You will once again discover a beautiful series of articles informing you of the activities of the HEC Faculty, the life of the Association and of course the continuation of our special report retracing the history of HEC, a pioneer since 1911...or not? As soon as you have read this editorial, go to the article “Pioneers Since 1861 or 1911?” which will explain to you how Léon Walras influenced the creation of HEC Lausanne within the Academy and then the University of Lausanne.
You will then inquire about the dynamism of this Faculty which is dear to us: our recently re-elected Dean will guide you through her editorial and then you will be able to delve into themes as diverse as “The need to place data at the heart of AI and its regulations” or the importance of maintaining a good life balance when embarking on an executive education journey.
Finally you will see that the life of the Association is as always in full swing: discover the feedback on some of the many activities that have taken place in recent months: from the conference of our General Assembly welcoming State Councilor Frédéric Borloz, to the get-togethers from our various Clubs, as well as our annual evening in the very popular summer setting on the banks of Lake Geneva in Nyon!
This editorial also gives me the opportunity to tell you again how much pleasure we always have in meeting you as soon as the opportunity presents itself and to remind you that it is thanks to your participation and your contributions that we can maintain the link who unites us.
Enjoy these readings and above all have a great summer!
