Un début d'année 2024 sous le signe de la convivialité et de la créativité pour les Clubs Alumni HEC Lausanne !

The year 2024 got off to a great start for the HEC Lausanne Alumni Clubs, with a series of Afterworks, each more creative and entertaining!

Club Data & Digitalization: Afterworks/Conferences

The Club Data & Digitalization’s Ambassador, Raphaël Menard, organized four Afterworks/Conferences in the first half of 2024. At each, a special guest addressed a specific theme, ranging from data in medicine to data acculturation, offering members a wealth of perspectives as well as the opportunity to share their ideas and viewpoints on various topics. The Club's commitment to knowledge sharing is remarkable, and participants always eager to learn and discover!

Club in Geneva: discovery and conviviality

The HEC Lausanne Alumni Club in Geneva, puts the emphasis on conviviality by meeting every first Thursday of the month for a drink. These gatherings, organized by Bérénice Jaccard and Anthony Vu, are an opportunity to discover new places, both in the city and on the outskirts of Geneva, enabling members to meet up in new settings conducive to exchange and look forward to (re-)meeting friends!

Club Bâle: Afterwork conference & photo workshop

Thanks to our Ambassadors Hu Fengyue & Cyril Racchetta, the HEC Lausanne Alumni Club in Basel kicked off the year with an afterwork conference on the theme of "Demystifying the Data & (Generative) AI Hype", followed by a photo workshop led by artist and photographer Kim Culetto. During this event, participants discovered how to fully exploit the potential of their mobile phone cameras and, thanks to Kim's sound advice, were able to improve their technique and creativity. A photo competition organized during the evening crowned the winners! Here are their photos, taken in just 1 hour:

Photo by Fengyue, HEC'16, "Young man sitting and enjoying the party atmosphere in a bar with vintage decor".

Photo by Cyril, HEC'15, "Painting of a Scottish terrier waiting for his master to return".

Photo by Marnie, HEC'15, "Man looking at how to make a good cocktail in a bar in the middle of Basel".

Club in Zürich: Afterwork & Laser Game Evening

In addition to a more "traditional" afterwork, the HEC Lausanne Alumni Club in Zürich also made its mark with a special evening dedicated to Laser Game. Participants, divided into teams, competed in a sporting and festive atmosphere. An event that strengthened the bonds between members in a fun and competitive environment! Thanks to our Ambassadors Delphine Andreae, Pauline Rosenblatt, Josselin Meylan and Alexis Valenza.

A big THANK YOU to our Ambassadors

Our thanks go out once again to all our Club Ambassadors for their dedication and voluntary engagement. Their work and their desire to bring people together enhances the ties between HEC Lausanne Graduates and keeps the Association alive. Their contribution is essential to our mission of strengthening the community, and we are deeply grateful to them!

The second half of 2024 promises to be just as exciting and eventful for HEC Lausanne Alumni with other Clubs offering opportunities to meet new people. Let's stay connected and continue to celebrate our common background together!
