Life of the Association
President's editorial - 50th anniversary
Dear Alumnae, Dear Alumni,
Here we are! The 50th anniversary year is in full swing, with a wealth of opportunities to get together, to perpetuate the bonds formed during our student days, and to meet exciting new people.
For half a century now, our Association has maintained ties with all HEC Lausanne graduates, a role that has been dear to the heart of all the committees members and office managers who have succeeded each other over the years. I would like to sincerely thank them for the energy, dedication, and time they invested in this mission. Without these women and men, we would not be able to look back proudly on the progress we have made in ensuring that the HEC Faculty keeps shining beyond cantonal and national borders. Indeed, we can count on the commitment of Ambassadors around the world, who are committed to leading their respective Alumni HEC Lausanne Clubs from Paris to Shanghai, from London to Montreal, via Singapore and New York, not forgetting Basel, Geneva, and Zurich, of course. Our thematic clubs are also a valuable addition to our activity offering, and the relaunch of the M&A Club and the Real Estate Club delights me. A big thank you to the Club Ambassadors. This energy has been reinforced by the strong support of the HEC Faculty, which has always seen us as a dynamic and reliable partner in alumni management. I also thank the Faculty for these years of fruitful collaboration.
This 50th anniversary year has gotten off to a roaring start (that is to say, with the International Motorcycling Federation's visit to Mies in January already) with already more than thirty diverse and varied events and highlights such as our General Assembly on March 10 followed by the conference by Bruno Le Maire, new Visiting Professor at E4S, the launch of the 2025 mentoring program, the visit to the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions (which is also celebrating its 50th anniversary) and the round table on the future of taxation which concluded the first cycle of the "Pioneers since 1911" project by bringing together Pascal Broulis, Jean-Pierre Danthine, Samuel Bendahan and Jérôme de Benedictis at the Internef. We also added some cultural touches with evenings at the theater and a very nice visit to the Chaplin Museum in Corsier-sur-Vevey.
Fifty years of connections, meetings, exchanges, and openness—an opportunity to showcase our values of solidarity, fraternity, and openness, dimensions that have been severely undermined on the international stage for several months. Let's ensure that we maintain this focus for the next 50 years.
We will have the opportunity to live the get-together dimension on the occasion of our Alumni Evening on September 27th: "Back to the Campus," nothing less than an evening at B1! (Internef for the younger generation ????). Register now !
Register to the 50th celebration
I can't conclude without also thanking all our contributing members. They make our activities possible. Help us ensure the future of the Association by helping us convert more members to the annual payment of 100 francs, which allows us to offer you a rich range of activities year after year, maintain connections, and make HEC Lausanne shine. Even more so this year of our 50th anniversary, thank you for supporting us with your membership fee or by recruiting your company to sponsor the 50th Anniversary Evening or as a Friend of the Alumni member . Don't hesitate to contact Laetitia, our director, or myself directly for more information.
"WE'RE COUNTING ON YOU!"
Enjoy the reading and I look forward to seeing you at the Alumni Evening on September 27th at the latest! Register and get your classmates registered!
