President’s Editorial – Fifty Years – HEC Alumni on the Road to the Next 50!

Dear Alumnae, Dear Alumni,

As we approach the close of a truly colorful year, I sincerely hope that by now no one is unaware that we proudly celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Association throughout the year. Each event was marked with the specially designed anniversary logo, created for this exceptional occasion.

And there were many events indeed, as we end the year with more than 80 activities of all kinds. A big CONGRATULATIONS to our operational team for the remarkable work accomplished!

These get-togethers, conferences, panel discussions, social events, and multigenerational activities highlight the vitality and diversity of our community. Thank you to everyone — members, volunteers, speakers, and donors — who helped turn these celebrations into truly memorable moments.

Beyond the festivities, these fifty years remind us of our collective responsibility: to cultivate excellence, support young graduates, and strengthen the bonds between generations of Alumni. And a heartfelt THANK YOU to all participants for your interest and continued engagement.

And it’s not over yet — stay tuned, as we will soon be offering the 50th anniversary vintage through a primeur subscription!

A year-end editorial is also the perfect opportunity to welcome our newest graduates. As you will read further on, no fewer than 400 new Bachelor graduates and 550 Master’s graduates earned their degrees this year, celebrated during a full day of festivities held in the prestigious Swiss Tech Convention Center, a new venue perfectly suited to welcome graduates and their families.

Assuming that 50% of Master’s graduates come from the HEC Lausanne Bachelor program and 50% from other universities, this means that approximately 650 new alumnae and alumni are joining our growing family this year.

Before concluding, one crucial point remains — the livelyhood of the Association: your support through your membership contribution, without which none of our activities would be possible. As the saying goes, many small streams make a great river. Your contribution, combined with those of many other Alumni — whom we hope will be numerous — can form the current that will carry the HEC Lausanne Alumni Association into its next 50 years!

I would not like to conclude without once again warmly thanking our operational team and Committee, as well as all our Ambassadors, for the outstanding work carried out throughout the year
