Highlights of the Alumni Association's activities - first half of 2025
As 2025 marks the 50th anniversary of the HEC Lausanne Alumni Association, our community is more vibrant than ever. Since the beginning of the year, get-togethers, visits, conferences, and festive moments have been following one another, bringing together generations of Alumni around our shared history.
A brief retrospective of the beginning of the year
Corporate Visit – International Motorcycling Federation (FIM)
On January 27th 2025, about twenty Alumni visited the new headquarters of the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) in Mies.
Guided by Françoise Emery (HEC’97), General Director, the participants explored the behind-the-scenes of this century-old organization, its global role in motor sports, as well as its initiatives in diversity, innovation, and sustainability.

Master in Management MscM Class of 2022 Reunion
2025 marked the 3rd graduation anniversary of the 2022 Master's in Management Graduates the perfect time for a MscM Class of 2022 Reunion!
The Alumni Association with HEC Lausanne organized a get-together event tailored exclusively to the 2022 Masters in Management Graduates. This allowed the participants to reconnect with your former classmates, meet Faculty members and reminice about their time at HEC Lausanne; find out what's new with the Masters in Management Program with Professor Giorgio Zanarone, Program Director; and discover the latest on "How LLMs transform market research" with a short lecture by Professor Isabelle Engeler.
General Assembly and Bruno Le Maire’s Conference
On March 10th 2025, the HEC Lausanne Alumni Association held its annual General Assembly at the Internef, in the presence of its paying members.

The session was followed by a special conference by Bruno Le Maire, Visiting Professor at the E4S Center, on the theme: “Geopolitics in a World in Deep Change: What Are the Implications?” Over 180 participants were present to discuss this current topic. At the end, a networking aperitif was organized to close the event.

Launch of the Mentoring Program – 2025 Edition
On March 24th 2025, the HEC Lausanne Alumni Association had the pleasure of launching a new edition of its Mentoring Program. After an 18-month break, the concept evolved to better meet the needs of students. The program is now also open to recent Alumni who graduated in the last three years.
Since the launch evening, many pairs have been formed. The program is in full swing and will conclude in October 2025 during the Career Networking Fair. We look forward to receiving feedback from Mentors and Mentees!
Visit to the 50th International Invention Exhibition
On April 10th 2025, a group of HEC Lausanne Alumni had the opportunity to visit the 50th International Invention Exhibition at Palexpo. They discovered the latest innovations in the Swiss Pavilion and exchanged ideas with Christine Heilmann Sandoz (HEC’99), Chief Customer Officer at Palexpo. An exciting immersion into the heart of creativity and innovation.
Apéro-Sciences Conference – “The World of Work is Undergoing a Revolution: What Are the Challenges for Tomorrow?”
The HEC Lausanne Alumni Association was pleased to share the invitation from L'éprouvette, UNIL's Science and Society Laboratory, in collaboration with the Faculty of Business and Economics (HEC) at UNIL and the BDFIL festival, to an evening of discussion on “The World of Work is Undergoing a Revolution: What Are the Challenges for Tomorrow?” featuring three UNIL experts who will share their insights on the ongoing transformations and future challenges.
Round Table – "What Taxes Tomorrow?" – Pioneers Since 1911
On May 14th, the closing event of this year's thematic cycle took place: "The Role of Taxes in Society."
Mr. Pascal Broulis, Member of the Council of States, former Vaud State Councillor for Finance, Jean-Pierre Danthine (HEC'77), Honorary Director E4S, former Vice-Chairman of the SNB, Jerôme de Bénédictis (HEC'12), Member of the Vaud Grand Council, Mayor of Echandens and Samuel Bendahan (HEC'10), National Councillor, Lecturer and researcher at HEC/UNIL/EPFL, discussed how taxes should be collected, managed, and perceived at various levels of public administration in the future.

Alumni Conference – Francesco Urso (HEC’07), Founder of Wolf Project
On May 19th 2025, Francesco Urso (HEC’07) shared his entrepreneurial journey during a conference at the Internef: "From Idea to Exit: Marketing, Money & Mistakes to Build a Brand."
He unveiled the behind-the-scenes of developing his brand Wolf Project, from creation to exit, addressing marketing, funding, and lessons learned. The evening ended with a networking aperitif.

Corporate Visit – Guided Tour of the Chaplin Museum
On Monday June 2nd 2025, we had the pleasure of participating in an exclusive guided tour of the Chaplin Museum in Corsier-sur-Vevey. Our Alumni delved into the fascinating world of Charlie Chaplin, exploring his personal life and cinematic masterpieces in a unique setting blending history, culture, and emotion. We were accompanied by Jean-Daniel Turrian, a passionate expert on the subject, who enriched the visit with his insightful perspective. A wonderful opportunity to rediscover the legacy of a cinema genius with other HEC Lausanne Alumni.
Real Estate Forum – Le Temps – Switzerland at Full Capacity – 4th Edition
Through a collaboration with Le Temps, we are pleased to offer HEC Lausanne Alumni a special rate for some of their events, including this new edition of the Real Estate Forum held on Thursday June 5th 2025, in Lausanne.
Titled "Switzerland at Full Capacity," the forum brought together experts, decision-makers, and industry players to discuss the challenges related to land, urban planning, and the future of housing in Switzerland. An unmissable event for those interested in the economic, social, and environmental issues in real estate.
Club Events: Rich and Varied Gatherings
Throughout the year, the Clubs of the HEC Lausanne Alumni Association have organized various events allowing members to gather around shared interests or in their city of residence.
The Data Cluborganized two afterwork conferences in Lausanne: one in February on AI and equitable data management, with feedback from CHUV, and another in April, in collaboration with BCV, focused on the challenges of the digital experience in Private Banking.
On the geographical Clubs side, Alumni gathered in Basel in March, in Geneva for several afterworks (including at Cube Challenges), an Apéro'Run in May, as well as two theater nights in April and May at the Théâtre Montreux Riviera, organized by the Lausanne Club.
Zürich Alumni met for two afterworks in spring, and those in Montreal were also able to share a networking moment at an event organized in June.
We warmly thank our Ambassadors and Club Ambassadors for their voluntary engagement and the organization of these gatherings.
