111th anniversary of HEC Lausanne

On November 11th, you were invited to celebrate the HEC Faculty and its 111th anniversary. In a sumptuous setting, with a delicious meal and in good company, the evening was a success!

11.11 was the ideal date to celebrate this jubilee together. It has been 111 years since the Faculty of HEC Lausanne was the first, in 1911, to introduce the use of mathematics in economics, leading it to be a pioneer in various fields of research, education and training. To mark the occasion, Dean Marianne Schmid Mast and Vice-Dean Felicitas Morhart wanted to organize a special event.

Originally planned as a "Back to Campus" day, this event, for various reasons, finally took place over an evening.

Graciously offered by HEC and its Foundation, this magnificent Gala evening was dedicate to you, the contributing Alumni members, partner companies, members of the HEC Alumni Committee and the Faculty. Over 160 guests enjoyed this moment in the incredible and extravagant Millennium in Crissier. In a luminous and colorful atmosphere, following the Dean's speech, guests had the pleasure of tasting the succulent meal concocted by Chef Fabien Foare, Best Craftsman of France 2011. Then came the time for comedian Thomas Wiesel, himself an HEC Graduate, to take the stage. Sparing neither the Dean nor the Faculty, his sharp and scathing humor made the whole assembly laugh. Finally, after a most delicious dessert, all the participants joined the dance floor, to the sound of our DJ's turntables, to enthusiastically celebrate this anniversary with dancing.

We would like to thank once again Marianne Schmid Mast and Felicitas Morhart who initiated this celebration as well as the HEC Foundation for this invitation.

We would also like to thank all the guests for coming to share this moment of celebration. Finally, a big congratulations to Thomas Wiesel for his performance.
