New dean's office at HEC Lausanne

The year 2021 welcomed a new dean’s office at the Faculty on August 1st 2021 for a 3-years period. Meet the new team, its strategic axes, and the departure of Jean-Philippe Bonardi and Guido Palazzo from the office.

Composed of Marianne Schmid Mast (Dean), Felicitas Morhart (Vice-Dean for Outreach and Impact), Paul André (Vice-Dean for Bachelors and Masters), Rafael Lalive (Vice-Dean for Research and Academic Succession) and Christian Zehnder (Vice-Dean for Faculty Recruitment and Promotion), the new dean's team has been elected for a three-year term. Its objective: to carry on promoting HEC Lausanne at the national and international levels through 4 main strategic axes:

  • Actively develop programs and teaching by anticipating the future of higher education and the future of the labor market.
  • Make research more impactful for tomorrow's world.
  • Strengthen relationships with the local educational, economic, and entrepreneurial ecosystem and with society as a whole.
  • Rationalize internal practices and processes to take full advantage of technological, societal, and environmental changes.

Jean-Philippe Bonardi and Guido Palazzo have stepped down from the dean's office and given up their positions as dean and vice-dean. They leave behind several successful large-scale projects such as obtaining the Equis accreditation for 5 years, the creation of E4S, and the development of Executive Education activities, to name but a few. After a year of scientific leave, we will see them back in the auditoriums as full professors. Read more.

The entire faculty wishes the new dean’s office a good start and thanks again Jean-Philippe Bonardi and Guido Palazzo for their work.
