Launch of the HEC Lausanne Alumni Club – Sport Network

The year 2026 marks an important milestone for the HEC Lausanne Alumni Association with the official launch of the HEC Lausanne Alumni Club – Sport Network, a space dedicated to everyone interested in sport, its strategic challenges, and its economic ecosystem.

Created on the initiative of two passionate Alumni, this club aims to build a platform for meetings and exchanges among graduates working in sports organizations, companies, start-ups, or simply those with a strong interest in the sector. The Sport Network positions itself at the intersection of business, management, and sport, bringing together diverse profiles around shared interests.

The club will develop a rich and varied program, including:

  • conferences featuring speakers from clubs, federations, companies, and innovation actors;

  • afterworks and networking events connecting Alumni with professionals from the sports industry;

  • thematic events addressing current topics such as sports marketing, governance, sustainability, or digital transformation;

  • sports activities (running, hiking, tournaments, etc.) to embody the shared values of sport and HEC Lausanne: team spirit, self-improvement, and excellence;

  • as well as collaborations with other Alumni Clubs and external partners.

The Club is led by two ambassadors whose backgrounds reflect the spirit of this initiative:

Alexis Valenza (HEC’23), former professional ice hockey player and now Secretary General of Swiss Sport Managers and the Observatoire du Sport Populaire, following experience at the IOC and the Swiss Ice Hockey Federation. Deeply engaged in sports governance and education, he brings valuable insight into current challenges within Swiss and international sport.

Florian Scarascia (HEC’20), passionate about the sports industry and co-founder of the club, contributed to the organization of the Impulse Summit in St. Gallen, bringing together global leaders in sports business to reflect on the future of the industry. His background bridges management, marketing, and strategic vision in sport.

With this new club, the HEC Lausanne Alumni Association further expands its thematic network and provides a unique space to explore the many dimensions of a sector undergoing major transformation.

We look forward to discovering its first activities and seeing this community grow around a shared passion.

Thanks to Alexis Valenza and Florian Scarascia for creating this club !
